Senior Consultant, Planning & Governance (Project Management)
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Consultant, Planning & Governance to lead and support strategic planning and governance of initiatives within our Strategic Programs and Innovation Delivery team. You will leverage your strong background in consulting and strategy to support the development and implement the strategic initiatives and framework guiding our transformation agenda. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering innovation and efficiency.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, Strategic programs and innovation Delivery
Strategic Planning and Innovation:
Develop, refine and intake of strategic initiatives that support the organization's transformation goals, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Launch and drive enterprise innovation ideation framework and implementation, identifying transformative opportunities and fostering a culture of creative problem-solving and forward-thinking solutions.
Governance and Program Oversight:
Establish and maintain robust governance processes, ensuring compliance with established standards, frameworks, and methodologies.
Collaborate with the program manager, to oversee the creation and maintenance of program documentation, including project plans, status reports, and executive summaries, to support informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership:
Serve as the primary liaison between with various stakeholders, facilitating communication and alignment across all functions, and supporting the development of business cases.
Develop and deliver executive-level presentations on program status, challenges, and strategic opportunities to senior leaders, promoting engagement and transparency.
Delivering executive-level industry and innovation insights and recommendations
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Implement and manage tracking tools to monitor key performance metrics, providing regular progress updates to leadership on program outcomes.
Proactively identify and escalate potential roadblocks, offering actionable insights and solutions to support effective decision-making.
Innovation and Change Management
Support change management initiatives by working closely with pillar leads and stakeholders to drive alignment and foster an innovation-focused culture.
Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of transformation initiatives and wide organizational processes.
7+ years of experience in strategy development, transformation initiatives, and governance within a large-scale organization or consulting firm.
MBA or relevant graduate/post-graduate degree or equivalent professional designation is preferred.
Proven experience leading or participating in large enterprise transformation and innovation programs, ideally within a consulting environment.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions using a consultative approach.
Strong business acumen with the ability to foster innovative solutions and support high-impact strategic planning.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
Expertise in project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.) and proven ability to manage complex programs.
Relationship-building skills with a leadership approach that inspires a high-performance, inclusive culture.
