The Supply Chain Analyst - New Construction needs to combine an ability to analyze significant amounts of data to develop reports, derive insights and problem-solve with an ability to coordinate with their colleagues across Seaspan Shipyards to drive improvement. This position reports to the Lead, Supply Chain, and will work very closely with members of Supply Chain Controls, Procurement, Program Finance, PMO and Program Controls.
Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
What you'll do
Own the EAC process for Supply Chain Procurement (CAT C & D) across all current programs (4)
Maintain all Material Control Accounts (~200) for all current programs (4)
Scope, Demand, Budget, Actuals, ETC, and EAC
Ensure actuals are reported and allocated correctly across all MCA and rolled up to the correct subsidiary in E1
Facilitate budget requests on VSY SCM Build accounts for procurement through PMBCR, CCP, budget reallocation, inventory transfer reclass, etc.
Work closely with program finance and program controls to ensure any budget changes are reflected across all systems (E1, Cobra, JSI)
Work closely with the demand planning team to analyze inventory levels and determine disposition of surplus
Support VSY SCM cost-related reporting to different groups during VSY milestones of the NSS contracts (cost proposal, target cost reset/re-baseline, MYOP, business plan, etc.)
Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
Performance against budget, Risk, inventory surplus, inventory transfers, new scope, emergent demand, etc.
Work in cross-functional teams to identify and deliver process improvement initiatives that result in increases in efficiency.
Documents process maps, process and procedure manual(s), and user learning guides.
Supports the integration and change management/training of Supply Chain Management processes across Seaspan
Maintain and create new Power BI dashboards as needed (account charge code db, amount received/not vouchered, WIPs, etc.)
Data mapping to support reporting requirements.
Correctly utilizes multiple sources of data for financial reporting.
What you'll bring
A diploma or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or engineering, or experience equivalent to this level of education
A minimum of 6 or more years' experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
A minimum of 6 or more years' experience in business analysis, process development and process documentation
Demonstrated functional proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP, etc.) designing and implementing improvements for processes such as Procure to Pay, Logistics, Material Resource Planning or Manufacturing.
Membership in PMI, ISM, PMAC or APICS preferred; enrolment and/or completion of PMP, CPM, CPP, CPIM, CSCP, PLOG is desirable
Experience in a multi-stakeholder environment with collaborators from different business units and departments.
Ability to work with data from large and integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably JDE Enterprise One (or equivalent).
Ability to support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) solution, preferably JDE Enterprise One applications.
Understanding of data quality standard processes and data integration concepts and techniques.
Knowledge of quantitative methods and statistical process control/analysis programs, such as Six Sigma and Quality Assurance.
Knowledge of best practices in supply chain management, materials/procurement management and change management.
Knowledge of analytical techniques and financial concepts to define and solve sophisticated business problems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective listening skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficient in MS-Office (Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint/Visio/SharePoint) and Power BI.

The estimated salary for this position is $94,000 - $112,800. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate's skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
